CASE STUDIES

Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel

Rosslyn Hill Chapel is a Unitarian space and spiritual home in Hampstead, London. I was contacted by the Minister, who was keen to redevelop the Chapel's website.

The existing site was uninviting and outdated both in look and content. The navigation was muddled and there was a need for a more accessible solution, as well as additional functionality. Key requirements included a password-protected members' area for shared board documents; online access to Chapel calendars; and the facility to book public events online.

The Unitarian General Assembly had recently undertaken a branding project, and was keen to roll this out across all Unitarian organisations, but the Minister was not sure how this aligned with Rosslyn Hill's own personality and Chapel community.

I worked closely with the Minister and board members to restructure existing and new website content and present it coherently. Three website design options were presented, each incorporating a different approach to the Chapel's 'brand'.

The chosen route was inspired by the new GA branding, but with a softened feel, more befitting the Chapel. View the live site here.

I also provided new brand guidelines and a digital newsletter template, so that volunteers can be confident that any materials they send out remain in keeping with the brand.

" Jackie worked with us at Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel to redesign our website (www.rosslynhillchapel.org.uk), including booking facilities and other features we didn't have on the previous site. Jackie was very easy to work with and made the effort to understand the needs of our organisation as well as providing many useful suggestions and insights."
